The lighting design for Comcast's advertising division, Comcast Spotlight in New York, is minimalistic.  Overlooking the whole of Midtown, this space begged for simplicity to preserve the incredible views, including that of the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center.  A primary requirement for the end user was that no direct lighting be used in the open work spaces or in the closed office spaces.  In the office areas we utilized indirect slot lighting solely alongside the efficiency of a white painted open ceiling to achieve levels at the work plane.  This space included beautiful green walls in the pantry area which we utilized color tuning lighting to adjust the color temperature and time schedule to fit the ideal lighting environment based on the green wall consultants requirements.  While a handful of complicated ceiling finishes including bamboo panels and ultra acoustical tiles, a lot of time was spent ensuring the detailing within those ceilings was clean.
