The new 21,332 SF Simulation Center will consist of a 16-station surgical skills labs, simulation rooms, a 70-seat lecture hall, conference space, a dining hall and administrative offices in a one-story building. These state-of-the-art spaces will provide an active learning environment for medical students and visiting physicians. The Simulation Center will be built at the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. The University of the Virgin Islands Medical School is the first accredited, English-speaking medical school in the Caribbean. The school will train local students as physicians so they can support the ongoing medical needs of the islands’ citizens.
