University Hill Hotel

Located on one of Boulder’s most popular street corners, the 187-key University Hill Hotel will be a destination for visitors and a meaningful gathering place for locals, designed to capture the essence of the Hill.

Working with the interior design team to subtly nod to the surrounding scenery – the hotel’s backdrop is the iconic Flatirons – LS Group created an interior lighting plan that complements the varied natural elements incorporated throughout the hotel. The result is a dynamic mix of ambient and task lighting that helps create a comfortable, casual atmosphere fitting for a college town, but elevated enough to attract a broad range of clientele. On the exterior, a large plaza intended to encourage community gatherings will be filled with welcoming light in the evenings to draw in visitors of the development’s ground-floor retailers.
